Field Officer

An Agriculture Diploma holder trained at a recognized institute (government or private).

  • Requirements
    • Practical experience with paddy cultivation
    • Experienced and comfortable with dealing with diverse farmers and other stakeholders frequently and on a practical basis
    • Ability to travel regularly to carry out duties by whatever mode of transport is available
    • Ability to produce concise, clear and actionable reports and recommendations on a regular basis
    • Ability to plan for continuous growth of production within the constraints of budget and other resources, with the consultation of Directors, Accountant and regional field officers
    • Ability and discipline to manage own time and submit all required reports and accounts within required periods
    • Good computer skills – email, MS Office or Google Docs including spreadsheet usage
  • Responsibilities include
    • Agricultural extension with regular field visits
    • Building up working relationships and coordinating with assigned farmer groups and other stakeholders including local authorities and community leaders
    • Setting up and maintaining Internal Control System(s) to monitor and control production
    • Coordinating well with rest of team to maintain correct documentation and records, efficient operations from cultivation planning, farmer selection and training, to seed production and distribution, to cultivation supervision, harvest, storage, and transport
    • Coordinating with certifying agencies and escorting inspectors, Rural Returns personnel and other stakeholders on site visits and inspections
  • Additional qualifications
    • Tamil Language ability a major plus
    • Driver’s license with Dual Purpose/Motor Lorry/Light Motor Lorry categories
    • Intermediate to advanced photography skills

Driver

A safe driver willing to travel outstation as and when necessary. The Company currently owns a single-cab truck and a lorry, which the driver may be required to drive as necessary.

  • Requirements
    • Heavy Vehicle license required
    • Ability to travel outstation frequently
  • Tamil Language ability a major plus

Delivery Assistant
  • Requirements
    • Willing to work long hours on an Overtime basis when required
    • Ability to travel outstation if needed
  • Responsibilities include
    • Handle preparation of daily orders including loading and unloading 
    • Manage basic documentation related to deliveries
    • Maintain good relationship with warehouse staff at customer sites
